I'm not very far in this, but the FL is annoying me a bit with how she just can't fathom why the plot is different just because a minor character like her lived. It's almost like the original Regina's death got the entire plot of the original novel started. The original FL would have no reason to interact with the Duke since Regina isn't dead, and I'm pretty sure they developed feelings for each other while she was investigating her best friends death. It's not like it was a love at first sight situation. She just expect them to suddenly love each other just because that's what happened in the novel. She is low key kinda dumb rn and I'm hoping it gets better with time.
