I read into the 600s and I think she did die, I haven't read this in a while so I'm a bit fuzzy. Last time I remember hearing about Rachel was the battle of the wall, where I think she was captured.
Then again my last was with them the game with Li Po Bia.
i'm all the way updated. rachel is not dead and was only on the verge of death once. i don't think she'll ever die, she seems to be favorite of SIU. she might even escape the tower to see the stars. khun has died (and revived) maybe five times.
for major plotpoints:
the family head of lo po bia (traumerei) lost his immortality contract/power and is dead after killing himself. bam is the strange body/soul/reincarnation of the child of two companions of zahard (outside of the 10 family leaders). bam's "father" is able to take over his body and is the master of the leader of FUG. many many plot points i'm only kind of making sense of, lmk if ur interested
