Is this story considered grooming?

You mean between the ml and fl? I mean, she didn't intended to make him fall for her. She wanted to make up for the story she wrote and wanted to see him happy with the og fl. She was so blind she didn't realise until he basically spelled it out to her that he has feelings for her, and then she confronted her own feelings for him. It would be one thing if she intentionally made him fall for her (so actual grooming) but she was so focused on wanting to survive and leave the og couple with their happily ever after, that it went over her head the possibility of him falling for her.

If you mean the side stories, I'm not sure it was intended like that. I normally don't like stories where the kids of the couple end up having their own love interests at like a really young age(I'm looking at you, Beatrice). But the side stories quickly made me overcame that fear by the end (so of now, chapter 150) because it wasn't pushed as a romance but more naturally as a child that just wanted to save a friend.

I don’t think Fiona intentionally groomed Sigren, but I also don’t think “she didn’t mean to” automatically makes the dynamic okay. She has the memories and maturity of someone much older, met Sigren when he was a vulnerable child, became one of the most important people in his life, and eventually ended up with him. Whether people want to call that grooming or not, I think it’s fair to say the setup itself is questionable.

And honestly, the side stories didn’t really help either. With Beatrice and her future love interest being introduced so young, it just added to the pattern that the series likes setting up romances from childhood. Some people may think it’s cute, but personally it feels weird when kids are already being paired off or given romantic undertones before they’re even old enough to understand that stuff.

(Just wanted to bring that up but maybe also because I’m tired of seeing these types of patterns in shoujo isekai manwhas. If you have some good recommendations to read I’m definitely open to suggestions.)
